How can I make a drip cake look like blood dripping?

Depends what medium you’d like to use for the drip. If you’d like to make it with ganache, I would suggest using red candy melts plus add a little more red food colour to get it really bright red. There are several other ways if ganache isn’t used. Some people add red food colour to piping gel, it can be made with glucose, jam, red fondant icing ( as for fondant fancies), royal icing and then painted red just to mention a few ideas.

Thanks MIWL, I made it as suggested and it turned out great, even though I should have waited a little to let the ganache thicken before using it! first time using candy melts and it worked a treat. Ruth
