Hi, I’m new to baking and was wondering if there are any sites that anyone can recommend for all sorts of baking equipment. I have found places like supermarkets and big chains like hovercraft ect to be rather expensive.

I don’t know where you’re based. If you’re in the UK Lakeland is a good place for baking pans and some sugar craft equipment too. They frequently put on good offers which consist of buy one get one free. For sugar craft tools and all baking equipment, you’ll find ebay and Amazon as good as any where else. Look out for free post and package offers particularly for larger items. For ingredients and all round merchandize I find http://www.thecakedecoratingcompany.co.uk/catalog/# very competitive, they carry virtually all the equipment required for the online tutorials. Paul also recommends Squires Kitchen for ingredients. Most supermarkets don’t carry heavy duty baking equipment. If you have a hotel catering equipment supplier where you are, you’ll find they carry most of the necessary bake ware. Some also carry sugar craft equipment but by special order.
I’m sure other members will be able to recommend other stores too.

I was like you a couple of years ago and now I can no longer see the back of the cupboard under the stairs with all the things I have bought. There’s a good cake craft supplier in Warrington Cheshire called Windsors Cake Craft and they have an on line shop too. There’s a big cake show coming up in Manchester next weekend (14-16 March) but if you are not able to go to that one then there will be lots of craft events up and down the country throughout the year and they usually have cake craft sellers.
Happy hunting and shopping. Be careful though, it’s very addictive.
