Frozen butter

Hi

I had to freeze a chocolate cake I made, using Paul’s recipe, but used butter which had already been frozen and defrosted – will the cake be OK to eat once defrosted – I don’t want to kill anyone

Thanks
Michelle

I always freeze my butter. I was always told it is the best way to keep it fresh. It can be frozen from 4-9 mos. Some say up to a year. Mine is usually used before a couple of months. I get it out as I need it. I usually do, however, put the already packaged butter in freezer bags to ensure that it does not pick up any odors from anything else it is nearby.
