I have airbrushed a handbag cake in black and wanted to know if it’s ok to spray it with a clear glaze spray to give it a shine? I’ve noticed that the colour easily comes off if I get water on it, so worried I will spoil?

Yes that will be fine, just keep your distace from the cake as glaze can streak if too close. Follow the instructions on the can. and let one layer dry completely before applying another to increase the shine. Alternatively you can use confectioners glaze but this has to be painted on and can take some time.
