Making handbag cake. How many days will cake keep? Planned baking it and decorating it over 3 days for function on 4th day, would cake still taste good?

Lengthening the shelf life of cakes

If you don’t wish to use glycerine, brushing each layer of the cake with a little simple syrup will not only add addition moisture but will act a preservant. A table spoon of alcohol of choice mixed in with the syrup also helps.
