where in Ireland can I purchase crisco butter flavoured vegetable shortening or do you recommend  it for buttercream frosting

Hi Mary, not sure about where in Ireland, but you can purchase it online from a company called Smuckers.  They are based in the USA so postage would be high. You can make your own butter flavoured shortening by using any hard veg fat and adding butter flavouring or extract. You can get extract online or from the Cake Decorating Company in Nottingham England. If you are in N. Ireland postage will be the same as mainland UK, but Eire would be EU rates. Hope this helps.
