jam filling in 3 layer cake
looking to fill one of my layers with jam only plus the other layer with buttercream because the jam always seems to sink into the cake! the cake will be ganached. the 3 layers are not deep.

Hi elaine77
The jam layer will be fine, it shouldn’t move about. Use a good thick jam which will keep firm and not sink into the cake.
Ganaching the cake will add stability, as will dowels if you are stacking.

thanks…the cake layers are only thin as client didnt want a tall cake. layers are just over an inch thick.
