Jeep Cake and Range Rover

Hi there, once again πŸ™‚
Just wondering if MDF can be used instead of the wooden board in both cakes, and if so, what thickness to look for?

Hi Frake,
MDF would work just as well. Paul would use 10mm thick for this one.

Thank you for the quick reply, David πŸ™‚ One more question: If I can only get a hold of 5 mm MDF, could I super glue or hot glue 2 thicknesses together or is there something problematic with that?

Hi franke

Can’t see any problems with that. I’m sure Paul has done so on several tutorial projects. In the videos you see MDF has no grain and when drilled it will form fibres rather than shavings. Hence is is advisable to wear a face mask to prevent the risk on inhaling it.
