Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to use a vintage lace impression mat with the edible lace mix or should I just use sugar paste ? I need to decorate the sides of a three tier wedding cake and have never used any impression mat before, I am a bit worried. Thanks in advance.

I had never used edible lace mix until recently and wish I had started using it years ago. I bought a tub of the ready to use lace and I also bought the spreader which is great but you could use other scrapers. After finding it so easy to use I bought the mix and made up a batch myself and it was just as easy to use.

It is a great way to add decoration to your cakes.

If I can use it anyone can. I’m really dreadful at trying out new products but member jgibb encouraged me to use the cake lace. I’m so pleased she did, it’s a fabulous, easy product to use which instantly wows up cakes, cookies, models, cake boards, I could go on and on…… !!
