Madeira Cake
Please please help ! I have now baked my Madeira cake numerous times and each time I end up burning the outside edges. I am following instructions and even have baked on bottom shelf with a baking tray on top shelf :(. Where am I going wrong ?

I have made a long life collar, wasnt meant to be long life but has held up after the christmas cake! In a rush I took 2 recycled brown envelopes and covered them in a strip of foil. This works a treat and be reused without the hassle. I just roll it up and pop in the baking tin storage area.
