Hi, I am going to be baking Mrs Jones maderia cake, I have upped the sizes too a 12″ round cake, can any one recommend times and oven temp, thank you.

I normally bake 12″ maderia for approx two and half to three hours on 130 fan assisted oven. I test it with a wooden skewer after two and half hours, by which time the centre of the cake has begun to set. If it’s not done, continue baking until it is done. However, each oven and each recipe is different and for a first bake will need monitoring to get a precise time. Mrs Jones will be best placed to advise you as this is her recipe.
