Just a quick thought – in a future update would it be possible to display member locations?  I know I have found it frustrating in the past when asking for advice and I’m referred to ingredients or supplies from stores that are not available in the UK.

This could help forum members who are trying to offer assistance.  Would people find this useful?

We have some big plans to introduce a lot more social elements to the site over the next couple of weeks one of which will be a user profiles that will allow users to write a bit more about them selves including were they are from.

Hi,

Users of the site will be able to fill in as much or as little as they like about themselves on their public profile. Not everyone may want to use it but it will be there for those that do and I think will add a great deal of value to the site.

I feel members should have a choice whether they wish their location to be displayed. Same would go for whether they wanted to share any personal details about themselves.

I would agree that members should have a choice, madeitwithlove, I certainly wouldn’t advocate otherwise.  I can’t imagine anyone would be forced to complete or to share those details if they didn’t want to.
