Moist chocolate cake and freezing
I’m making the cake today and putting in freezer to use next Tuesday will this be okay?
Also how am I best to defrost?

Hi R_sheperd
The cake is fine to freeze. Once cool, wrap it up in a couple of layers of cling film and a little foil. Pop it in a card board cake box to protect it from damage. To defrost, remove cake from freezer the day before it is required and leave on counter to defrost at room temp. Retain the wrapping as this helps to keep the cake moist. The cake handles better if it is well chilled or partially frozen.
How long is it able to go in freezer for?
It will freeze well for three months. Keep it protected from freezer burn wrapping as above.
