I need help in knowing the measurements for a 14″ cake? Should I double the recipe?

However, I would be a bit wary of making such a large Vic sponge as some of them have a tendency to collapse.
You might be better dividing the mixture in two and making two shallower cakes which can be stacked together.
If you’re used to making 14″ cakes and you’re confident with timing then that’s fine.
