Nonstick green fondant board

Are you suppose to cut out shapes on the fondant board? I pressed very lightly and left some outlines in my brand new board. Lol. Anyway I saw Paul do it, will it hurt it? Thank you.

Mine’s all scratched too from cutting out but it doesn’t seem to leave any tram lines on anything I roll out on it. I wash the board after use in soapy water and spray with dettol anti bacterial spray before putting away. I’m sure other members will say how they deal with the scratches.
