I’d really like to make this cake for my mam’s birthday but she’s allergic to coffee. I’m worried it won’t have the same depth of flavour if I leave the coffee out. Any ideas?

The coffee can be left out but you’ll still need to use the amount of water in the ingredients list. Perhaps add a little flavouring such as orange extract or anything else which your mum likes.
