How much milk chocolate ganache would be needed to cover and fill four cakes? the cake sizes are 12, 10, 8 & 6 inches. Anyone know approx how much ml of chocolate and cream is needed? Thanks in advance!

Hi Faye28

If you’re using milk chocolate it’s better to use extra chocolate because milk and white does not set up as well as dark. Approx you’ll need 2.5k made up like this with 3:1 ratio, 1.875k choco and 625ml cream. You can always make up a little more if you run short.

Actually Faye are you using round or square cakes because there would be a difference?

Thank you madeitwithlove! I’m using square cakes.

Hi Faye

My apologies, some how I completely didn’t see the 12″ cake so you’ll need approx another 1.5k made up like this
1100g milk choc and 370ml double cream. Please bear in mind these are approx quantities, you may need more or you may have some left over. It does freeze well. Good luck with the cakes x
