Welcome to the Cake Decorators Q&A
Recommendations for a good quality stand mixer please :)
Hi
Can anyone help please?
I run a cake business from home and I need a new stand mixer.
It needs to have a 7l plus bowl and a motor powerful enough to easily mix dough and dense brownie mixtures.
I have a Kenwood KMix at the moment and it really struggles.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
I feel like I’m between home usage and commercial so I need your help.
Thank you all 🙂

Hi fairwaycakes
I use Kenwood titanium major with 6L bowl capacity. It is an older model. things have moved on in this capacity range.
I use mine for cake batter and for making bread dough. Kenwood brand is a workhorse which will last for almost ever! Please see here for other member opinions:
I would suggest that you google this brand and look at the varying sizes and then research what would be the best option for you.
I phoned up most of the suppliers and asked the relevant questions for me and then bought from the supplier who was able to furnish me with the most comprehensive information.
It’s good to have other opinions but recommendations are only as good as how happy a person is with their purchase. Please come back if you need more information or further discussion. Hope this helps. 🙂
ps:
Prices do vary, shopping around is a good idea but getting the correct and most valuable information is far better than saving a few £££.
