hi,do you have any recipe for red velvet cupcakes frosting with Philadelphia cream cheese?
how long before can we bake and decorate red velvet muffins?

Hi Arunima

Muffins are their best on the day of baking. However, they will keep good for a couple of days if kept in an air tight cake tin. They can also be frozen and taken out closer to the day required.

Here are some cream cheese frosting recipe suggestions:

Paul Hollywood

50g butter

200g philadelphia cheese (full fat)

100g icing sugar

Zest from one orange

Nigella Lawson

175g butter

200g philadelphia cheese (full fat)

215g icing sugar

Gemma’s Bigger Bolder Baking

120g butter

480g philadelphia cheese (full fat)

300g icing sugar

Vanilla essence

It’s not recommended to leave cream cheese frosting standing at room temperature for longer than a couple of hours. As an alternative you could use white chocolate buttercream cream with cream cheese flavouring. A quick google search will throw up suppliers of the flavouring.
