Hi there!

I see that in the template there is a 9” round dowel to support the body but it is not shown during the videos. Do I have to put it or it is not necessary?

I think that’s the dowel for holding the head in position as seen in this lesson:

Hi!

I have spoken to Paul and he says you do not always have to put a dowel in, it is just there if you would like extra support and for holding the head into position as Madeitwithlove suggested.
