I have made mrs jones 8″ recipe and put it into 2 smaller tins to cook, approximately 4″ each, what should i adjust the time of the bake by to allow for the smaller size?

I can only tell you the bake time for my 4″ fruit cakes which is usually 1 hour 20 minutes. Check for doneness, if not, bake on and check every five minutes

Thanks MIWL i will try that next time, i cooked them for 2 hours 15 mins, seemed to be ok, but since it was my first time cooking them i had just no idea, will see what they are like today. 🙂
