Sphere cake trouble!
Hello Everyone,
I have been attempting to make my nans teapot cake, I have just thrown attempt number one in the bin, the cakes keep sliding when im trying to cover with the fondant! I had put in cake pop sticks to try to support it lol! as my dowels are too think for the size of the cake, ha anyone got a tip on how to keep the two semi circles together?!

Best way is to use ganache but I think you’re using buttercream?? If you’re using ganache for the crumbcoat leave it to set hard and do another coat as well so the cake is well sealed. White ganache takes longer to set so make it 3: 1 ratio, the chart here may help http://www.cakeflix.com/blog/how-to-ganache-cakes-without-gnashing-your-teeth
Is it possible you’re using a little too much filling? If you are just reduce it slightly so it doesn’t squish out of the sides.
