hi,
I just watched Mrs Jones sponge cake recipe. Lovely video however i would like to know sponge cake recipe using plain flour and baking powder. thank you

if you google ‘how to make self raising flour from plain flour’ there are lots of recipes which will help you convert your plain flour. You may have to experiment a little with small amounts to get the right blend. I use Dr Oetker baking powder, the recipe on the back of the tub says to use 3 level teaspoons baking powder for every 250g of plain flour. On the Super Cook tub it says use 4 level teaspoons to every 250g of plain flour, so all the recipes do not agree with one another. If you have a tub of baking powder have a look on the back and see whether it has a recipe. Hope this helps.
