I am looking for advice on how to transport a two tier wedding cake as both tiers are double barrelled. I have transported so many cakes successfully but never a double double barrelled and unsure what way is best.

Personally I would transport them as two separate cakes and then assemble them together at the venue. If you’re unable to do that I would suggest a centre dowelling system such as Sturdy cake stackers. It’s an easy inexpensive system which will give you peace of mind. Transport the cake in stacked cake box in the boot of the car and place a non slip mat under the box. Here are links for Sturdy cake stackers and for tall cake boxes:
