I want to make the box for the watch cake but not confident to use the jigsaw cutter<as never used one before. I have watched some videos online showing you how. I know its probably a silly question, but if i'm cutting straight lines, as you would for the box, can you do it without using a clamp and bench? I don't have all this equipment?.

Although Paul uses the jigsaw (and you would need the clamps to get a straight line) he suggests that you could carve the shape from foamcore (hobbycraft) with scissors and a sharp knife.
