Personally I wouldn’t use ganache but if you’d like to white chocolate ganache and butercream flavour go well together. Alternatively and simply you can use a thin covering of sugar paste as the base before icing properly. Let the first layer dry overnight before icing, then brush a little vodka over the cake to make it slightly tacky for your final coat to stick. x

Hi
Thanks for that.So do you mean a thin layer of Fondariffic first then a thick layer or is sugar paste something different? Thanks for detailed reply x

Hi Jan

Just a thin layer of Renshaws or something a little less expensive will be fine, you don’t want to do it with Fondarific because of the cost. Fondarific for the main icing only. Hope I’m a bit more clear now. xx
