Views on cocktail sticks for support

Hi everyone

Just wondered if you state that your models are inedible if they contain sticks?

I know that if any models contain wires then they are inedible but what about cocktail sticks and skewers? I always tell my customers if supports are used and that they must be careful. Thinking about it though we buy meat skewers for the BBQ etc! So if that’s the case then decorations can be eaten, but they must take care and at their own risk. Would you agree?

Just on my mind….

Thank you!

Hi wardshare

Yes you’re correct, cocktail sticks are considered food safe and can be used on models intended to be eaten. Let the customer know as you have been doing and also give a written detail as a back up, signed by the customer. A copy for you and one for them. x
