Hi , Mayen uses a vinyl sheet in her hanging handbag cake, is this food safe, if so where is it available from, thanks

The closet food grade vinyl is the mat as seen here:

This size is 15″ x 15″ and plenty big enough for the hanging handbag cake. I have all three sizes which come in useful for all sorts of different applications.
Alternatively you can buy vinyl sheeting cut to size. It’s not labelled as food grade. See it here:

Can also be bought in haberdashery or craft shops.

Plastics which are not formulated for food can leach chemicals so it’s best to excercise some caution.
My personal choice would be to go for the foodgrade mat, I tend to be a bit OCD about stuff not intended for food. It’s up to you of course! x

ps Sue, meant to say you can also use heavy duty zip lock bags or the heavy duty ice bags. x
