which website to use

I am going to try and make my own website, however,I am unsure which one to choose? Can anyone recommend a website that they really like or have used? I have been recommended to use square space or wix,so any help to be pointed in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks x

Hi helenacampbell

I think the technical team at PBSS would be better placed to answer your question. If you don’t receive any advice here Q & A I would recommend contacting the site at:

I suppose buying a website is like buying a car as so much depends on what you want it to do and how much you are prepared to pay.

There are many free websites out there, but nothing in life is really free so you may end up with advertisements, unwanted backlinks or pay as you go services that you’ll need to use once up and running.

We started with a basic WordPress site and have never looked back. Sure, they take a little bit of working out but there are some great Youtube videos to help you through. WordPress does everything from the very basics through to e-commerce and all the functionality that you will ever need.

Before you get going with a website you should look at our Online Marketing section in the Pro section which will guide you on a number of keys factors to consider before you even get to the design stage to ensure that your website will work well on google….. https://www.cakeflix.com/pro-online-cake-decorating-courses

As we are only really familiar with WordPress it might be worth asking other members in the private Facebook groups what they use.
Good luck.
Kind regards
David

I found wix really good, easy to use and no hidden extras. Good templates
