That’s exactly what happened to my witch, if you look at Paul’s she too is tilted slightly back. I think if I had made a stronger gumpaste and waited for the body to dry it would have been fine. You can see my little witch here http://www.cakeflix.com/blog/inexpensive-photo-booth-by-madeitwithlove
I would also definitely have used a heavier support rather than pasta but she’s good enough for my demo purposes and was made in a great hurry.

Yours is sooo cute… I loved yours but I loved hair of my witch more..teasing you…its very nice
Didn’t Paul made just of fondant ? Did you added tylose or mixed gumpaste?
Mine couldnt withstand for long so you suggest making body ahead and then to add head?
Am about to make ABC cake so should I follow same strategy there too?

I can’t remember if Paul used gum paste, I’ll have to look at the tutorial. I think the body should be left dry first. The head is quite heavy and squashes the body a little. Some people have no problems but I have many when making models. If you have similar problems perhaps it might be better to make elements and let them dry then fix them on with a little royal icing until set. Gumpaste dries more quickly so it might be better if you use it rather than fondant. Last year I made Mr and Mrs Snowman from fondant and they melted hahaha! Should have used a strengthener! I learned my lesson.
