Hi Maeveymoo3

What you could do, is first cover the top. Let it dry and then use the wrap around method to cover the sides of the cake. Paul shows wrap around technique in the fairy castle tutorial here:

Fairy Castle

If you’re unable to lift the paste up as Paul shows, roll it up on the rolling pin, take it up to the cake and unravel it all the way around. I always use my turntable to make unravelling easier. The paste will be taller than the cake, all you need do is first make sure the paste is secured then cut off the excess with a sharp knife to sit flush with the top.
Here’s another guide as used in covering a double barrel cake:

Practice it out first on an upturned round cake pan so you can get you confidence. Hope this helps.

The botton wrap need to be 34in do I need to do this in two halfs ? Or is the a special way to do it , thanks for any help x

Do you mean 34cm? or am I reading right? Anyways, do this in sections and where the seams meet decorate it so it looks like the tuning rods. Have a look at how Paul is decorating the drums in the Beatles cake here:

The Beatles

I keep a look at for you so post again if you need more information.
